About Us

NASH KENT

Bike-Fitting/Leadership

Nash has been part of the bike industry since 1995. He has represented NSW and Australia in road cycling and won state medals in road, track and MTB. Nash is an active member of Cycling Australia, Parklife & Bicycle NSW. He is also a Cycling Australia Level 1 Coach, a TrainingPeaks Level 2 Coach, Former Head Coach of the Western Sydney Academy of Sport Cycling Program, a former mechanic and coach for the NSW Junior Road Team. Nash is involved in product testing for Garmin.

Sydney born and bred, he has a passion for bikes, art, music, and design. In 2013 Nash was appointed to the Sydney Olympic Park Authority's Bicycle Advisory Committee who regularly meet with board members to plan for safer and better cycling in the local area. He believes strongly in the local bike store.

TOM MILLARD

Finance/Customer Service

Tom has been a part of Park Bikes since 2012. Originally, he did work experience with us, and we immediately offered him a job afterwards.

Tom really understands excellent customer service and will always do his best to make sure that everyone is looked after. He manages the coaching business and also looks after reporting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Even though Tom is quite young his maturity and small business knowledge are years ahead of his age.

After recieving an almost perfect ATAR in his HSC, Tom has deferred university to travel, ride, enjoy life, and work at Park Bikes. Tom comes from a Downhill/Enduro MTB background, but now enjoys road riding as well.

MARK JESSUP

Management

Mark is a bike industry guru.

He has over 20 years of retail experience in sales, customer service and management. Marco will without-doubt get it right the first time through his calm and careful nature, wisdom, and high level accountability. he's a great listener, and an even better coach for those who want proper advice.

Mark and his family are from the Inner West of Sydney. He rides custom-made steel bikes for recreation & also plays guitar in Two Screws Loose - an acoustic and electric blues two-piece band.

DAN BAKER

Worshop Manager

Dan is responsible for the high quality mechanical work, and bike builds coming out of Park Bikes. He has had 8 years of experience in the workshop.

Depsite his young years, Dan has already had a successful career in XC, Marathon, and 24hr MTB racing.

He now rides XC, Fatbikes, & touring bikes. He has a passion for travel, and has decked out a van himself for the ultimate self-supported trips.

MATTHEW SWEENEY

Bike-Fitting

Matthew has 9 years experience as a Physiotherapist. He has worked with various clinics and private sporting institutes over this time helping teams and individual athletes achieve their best.

Matthew does bike-fitting for us on a contract basis, and some part time work in the shop.

Matthew is an active member of Triathlon NSW, Balance & Parklife Cycling Clubs.

CHRIS BOOGERT

Park Bikes Travel

Chris Boogert takes care of Park Bikes Travel. He is a brilliant communicator, and has a very strong work ethic. He is straight to the point and honest which is very important when helping customers. He has a teaching degree from Sydney University and has also worked for Waverley College as a cycling coach, and a premium cycle-touring company in Italy. Chris represents Parklife Cycling Club in A grade road racing, and also looks after the club's official communications. He has experience on the road, mountain bike, and track bike.

MAX HOUSDEN

Mechanic

Max is an outstanding country boy from Wagga Wagga. He has been involved in bike shops since he could walk. His parents own a bike shop back home where Max honed his mechanical skill. Some of this perhaps inherrited from his dad Rob who's a talented fitter & turner.

Max is also a gun track sprinter. He has 12 x national medals and a bronze from the youth olympics in 2013. He's coached by Olympic Legend Sean Eadie. It must be mentioned though, that although Max can pump out 2300 watts, he only has the 3rd or 4th biggest calves in the shop.

GORDON ALLAN

Customer Service

Gordon is not just a kick-ass salesperson with exceptional product knowledge. He is a current dual National Champion and Australian record holder is Para-Cycling. He started riding a bike in 2010 and took up cycling seriously late in 2013. He has raced in both the road and track disciplines for the past 2 years at a state and national level. His goal is to represent Australia at both Paralympic Games and World Championships, with Tokyo 2020 being the main target.

Gordo also studies Exercise Science at the University of Western Sydney.

RICHARD LANG

Coaching

Originally a Lidcombe Auburn Cycling Club star junior, Richard has raced at the highest level. He has ridden for the AIS, Endura, Rapha Condor and won some big races such as the Oceania Games, and the Goulburn to Sydney. He is working with Park Bikes as a coach to make you a better rider.

Richard has his own coaching business and combining his personal training/cycling knowledge as well as his real world cycling skill Richard is now a valuable part of our coaching team.

HANNAH SANDISON

Customer Service

Hannah has been a friend of Park Bikes and a sponsored athlete since she was 14. After coming through the Western Sydney Academy of Sport & Parklife Cycling Club programs, she is a now a multiple state track champion, and a medallist at the Australian Championships and Oceania Games.

Hannah not only excels on the bike, she also has a brilliant academic record and is currently School Captain.

Hannah mainly works weekends and during holidays. She looks after customer service and merchandising to keep the shop looking majestic.
